eah, I'm doing Coldplay. I'm trying to be as truthful about these posts as possible and of all my favorite artists that start with a C, Coldplay, one of the most well-known artists in the world, who nobody needs any info about because we've all heard their music, wins. So I'll tell you a kind of story.

My oldest sister got ahold of their first album Parachutes when I was in high-school and said that she thought it was ok, but thought I'd like it better. I am a pretty big fan of Ben Folds Five, and because of the piano, Coldplay sounds a little Ben Folds Five-ish. Well, I liked "Yellow" just as much as everybody else in the whole world, and kept a casual listening relationship with Coldplay for years to follow. It probably wasn't until 2007 when I decided that I really do like Garden State, that I really put myself to work listening to more of their music, and with positive results (I kind of sit on fences a lot of the time). They now have permanent seasonal status with me, occupying the months of September, November, and January.
I have to say of all their albums X&Y is probably my favorite, followed closely by A Rush of Blood to the Head, then Parachutes and... I'm still trying to figure out Viva la Vida. And my favorite music video of theirs, hands down, is "The Hardest Part." There is something so sweet to me about that old lady in her black leather strips. Getting old is fascinating, I think... but then the video for "The Scientist" appeals to me on some other nice levels as well. At any rate, they're a great band. I love my new annual relationship with them. Chris Martin is cute. So's his open-palm pump dance.
