Jimmy.Eat.World.

By Alisha Stamper

I don't feel like I can adequately describe the wonderment of Jimmy Eat World. I own all of their albums, but though I love them and listen to them frequently, MOST of the words evade me if I try to sing a long, but they are GREAT lyrics. Maybe my mental capacity is tapped when it comes to lyrics (Tori, Bjork, Sarah McLachlan, and Jeff Buckley having filled my brain).

But all the same, Jimmy Eat World is inspiring. They inspire cheesecake baking (my sister delivered home-made ones last time they signed CDs in Utah), illegal activity (sneaking in with fake tickets by two college friends... only to be caught), that type of devotion, when it is to a band that is worthy of it, is something to applaud.

By and far, my favorite albums are Clarity and Bleed American. Chase This Light comes in as a close third, but is too new in my collection to have edged the others out of their firm spots... They are ALWAYS taken on road-trips, and are first day of snow MUSTS for the winter season. There is something about "A Sunday" and "For Me This is Heaven" that is altruistic, and truly does provide some clarity on life.
